Maddy's Review: the "Fifty Shades of Grey" Trailer

As you may have heard, the most famous piece of fan fiction ever written is becoming a movie, and for the first time ever, the movie looks like it will be better than the book. Don't get me wrong, E.L. James knows how to write steamy scenes, but everything in between is a crapload of abusive garbage.

Here's to hoping that Jamie Dornan doesn't portray Grey as the psycho that was in the book. Newcomer Dakota Johnson seems to be a good fit for the mousy Ana as far as I can tell. If the screenwriters even have a fraction more experience than James did, then this should be a decent movie. But will they keep all of the signature awkward pieces of dialogue in the movie like "laters, baby"? Or "good point well made"?? I can't decide which I'm going to enjoy more: Jamie Dornan's beautiful face or the incredibly awkward scenes that are bound to happen.

Also it's coming out on Valentine's Day?? Will couples go and see this movie or will participants in Singles Awareness Day (aka me) go see it on its premiere weekend? Will suburban moms go opening night or will they also wait for a few weeks so that they won't run into anyone they know at the theatre out of embarrassment (like myself probably)? The biggest annoyance I have with this is that the movie doesn't come out until February so we won't know whether this movie will flop or become a runaway success or just get a bunch of middle-aged women hot and bothered before becoming a cult classic?

But I mean the biggest question is: WILL IT BE BETTER/WORSE THAN TWILIGHT???

Anyway, here's the trailer; you'll have to decide for yourself. What do you think?
